THE GAME
Unlockthecity is a 3.5hour adventure race experience. Teams use patented game-boards to navigate and problem-solve for a chance to win great prizes. The winning team(s) of each Unlockthecity event complete the game-board with the most points in the least time. Teams will be asked to evaluate their experiences and performance before and after the event.
Unlockthecity teams will experience the physical, cultural and historical diversity of the city using online and paper game-boards. The game-boards contain unique navigation and clue information critical to success. Online game-boards are available to you now and contain general knowledge, navigation and score info. More detailed clues and images are presented in the paper game-board issued to each team at the start line.
THE TEAM
Your team should include three(3) creatively adaptive people who don't mind the emotional strain of teamwork and rapid decision making. Teams are given time to strategize at the startline and 3.5hours to physically and mentally unlock their collective knowledge of the city. You don't have to be an athlete to participate for a chance to win great prizes - you just have to be amongst the first 30 teams to register.
Each team is responsible for collecting it's own accurate information and score - just like golf. Team scores and times will be officially calculated at the finish line. Points are issued for correct answers only. No partial points. Remember, only a combination of points and time win this event. The key to success is quickly collecting as much accurate information as you can. Get ready for the human race!
